About the Role
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure that the vessel is operated at all times, in accordance with the SOPs, operations manual, and the policies of the company and/or client during marine operations, berthing and mooring.
Review navigational and vessel handling assessment to streamline and achieve systematic training programmes and structure that meets company and/or client requirements.
Develop and implement crisis management plans to address potential risks and emergencies. Collaborate with relevant authorities in case of incidents, accidents, or investigations.
Adhered to Legal and Regulatory Compliance to ensure compliance with international maritime laws, regulations, and conventions.
Work closely with the local authority to maintain all operations and training documents are in accordance with industrial standards or recommended standards in Singapore.
To review company and/or client navigational and vessel handling assessment to streamline and achieve systematic training programmes and structure that meets operational and training requirements.
Provide technical advice to support the maritime operations in terms of ship constructions and general arrangement, deck, and bridge systems.
Ensure the quality and standards of the respective vessel platforms and Officer-on-Watch assessments, safe navigation, and commanding vessel.
Support in marine training-related matters.
Participate vessel’s maritime incidents and work investigations.
To review and plan sailing routes for vessel outside drills, day/night sorties, and to join in for sea sorties when required.
Adhere to environmental regulations and implement practices to minimize the ship's impact on the environment, in accordance with international standards.
Requirements
Master Mariner STCW qualification, supported by a GMDSS and STCW Basic Safety Training.
Certificate of Competency (CoC) Class 1 qualifications and at least three (of sailing experience in related field in a recognised institution and within Singapore Port Limit (SPL).
Ship Security certificate.
Familiar with the International Convention on standards of watchkeeping, training, certification and for seafarer.
experience in maritime risk auditing and incident investigations.
STCW Advanced Fire Fighting certificate.
Valid health certificate.
Good knowledge of the English language, both oral and written;
Computer literate and knowledge in Microsoft Office applications.
